Radio evangelist who "posed" as a chaplain at the Dallas County Jail. Went to City Hall 9:30 a.m. 11/24/63. Rode to 3rd floor with Jack Ruby. Indicted Tue, Nov 16, 1982, by Dallas County Grand Jury on felony charges for bilking a jail inmate of $500 in exchange for a promise to get his sentence reduced. Died Sat, Jan 16, 1988. Survived by wife: Wilene Rushing; sons: Gene, Tim and Joe Rushing; daughter: Gail Brigham, Shreveport, LA.
