On June 14, 1962, Ivan Gavrilovich Alferiev asked to speak with Montano Islas, prominent Mexican pro-Communist leader. Montano Islas was "well known at headquarters." MONTANO was a leading member of SMACP (Mexican Society of Friendship with People's China, cultural Communist front in Mexico). 23 Aug 63 MONTANO callas for Kuznetsov and spoke to Kostikov.
