Comments:

A native of New Orleans, operated gambling casino in Havana. Arrested by the Castro government in 1959 then released and sent formal letter of apology. Had club in Las Vegas. His brother, William Julius McLaney, owned property at LaCombe, LA, where the raid took place Aug 1, 1963. Mike McLaney had "sponsored" Soto, one of those arrested in LaCombe raid.
