Graduated from University of Texas; received law degree from George Washington University where he met his future wife, Vera Sansom Connell, a fellow Texan. Secy of Navy after John Connally. In April 1969, his daughter, Verita Seshunoff, killed herself. Korth and his wife of 29 years, Merryweather Post, were divorced. Korth and Vera were divorced. Korth had represented Edwin Eckdahl in his March 12, 1948, divorce from Marguerite Oswald. Korth died of cancer in Washington Monday, September 14, 1998. Survived by wife Charlotte of El Paso; son Fritz-Alan Korth of Washington; daughter Nina Maria Cole of Fort Worth; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
