Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1907, where his father was a tailor. He graduated from Ohio State University and moved to Greenwich Village. Died in Philadelphia Thursday, September 17, 1998, at age 91. Survived by wife, Lillian; son, Dr. John L. Frank; daughter, Amy Rosenblum of Richmond, VA; sister, Ethel Kaufman of Coconut Creek, Florida; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
