Comments:

Had been a gun-runner from Beaumont. Was on 5-yr probation in connection with a bank robbery charge in Detroit (probation was up in mid-1963). On day of assassination, Davis was in Algiers on gun-running mission. Was killed approximately Sept 1973. Was found in a gravel pit near Chico, Texas. Said to have been electrocuted accidentally, though no autopsy was ever performed. Jack Ruby told Tom Howard that Tom Davis' name might come up before Warren Commission because they had discussed gun-running. His first wife's relative is Hardy Eubanks, III, a banker in McKinney, TX. In 1981, Eubanks lived in McKinney and was in real estate business. In 1972, Carolyn Hawley Davis (Davis' 2nd wife) is daughter of Samuel W. Hawley, Chairman of Peoples' Savings Bank, Bridgeport, Connecticut. In July 1979, Thomas Eli Davis' sister is Mrs. Pat Palm of Mansfield, Texas. She and her husband are in real estate.

Search Tips

1. Type one or more words into a search box and hit Enter or click the Search button.
2. If you type multiple words, search results includes pages which feature any of the words (pages with multiple and rare words are ranked higher).
3. Use double-quotes to enclose phrases (consecutive words), e.g. "Jack Ruby".
4. Use "and" to find pages containing both word/phrase A and word/phrase B, e.g.: mccone and "maurice bishop".
5. Note that small words (the, by, on, etc.) are ignored.
6. Searches are not case-sensitive (e.g., KENNEDY is the same as kennedy).
