Comments:

Bearded Cuban physician and former Cuban Revolutionary Army Major, designated gunman in assassination plot to kill Castro, hatched by CIA in Paris and Madrid, disclosed by Cuban government in March 1966. Arrested in Havana in Feb. 1966. Sentenced to death, but Castro commuted sentence. Dec 23, 1960, Ivan Gavrilovich Alferiev and Teresa Proenza arranged press conference for Cubela, President of Cuban FEU. HSCA interviewed him 8/28/78.
