Comments:

One of Mexico's most prominent artists. Imprisoned for 8 years as result of role he played in the Communist-inspired railroad strike of 1959. Leader of PCM (Mexican Communist Party) and has visited Soviet Union. Fought for Loyalist Army in Spanish Civil War and was later arrested in Mexico for complicity in murder of TROTSKY's secretary.
